And no, I'm not reporting anything dire. He's presumably in perfect health. But if the last thing you've known about him was his role in Star Trek: The Next Generation (and occasional acting roles since then), you've been missing out. He has a healthy-sized blog, he wrote a book called "Just a Geek", and he speaks publicly at video game conventions to rousing applause.
But he's also a role-player. And apparently, his fandom is old school. Check out these photos he posted on Flickr of some of the original Dungeons and Dragons rule books. He is a true geek role-playing role model.
